We are partnering with Summerfi to support the previous Pro users while Summer focuses fully on their Lazy Vaults protocol (which you’ll also have access to at DeFi Saver soon).
You probably don’t need to do anything - your positions previously opened via Summerfi Pro are already here and are fully manageable with DeFi Saver. You’ll only need to take action if you previously used Summerfi automation options and want to continue using DFS Automation moving forward.
You will actually have all the same tools available, just under slightly different names. For example, the Boost and Repay features we have are replacements for Summerfi’s Multiply. You can find a more detailed comparison here.
One interesting difference to note is that positions in all protocols supported at Summerfi were limited to one collateral and one debt asset, while this is not the case at DeFi Saver. In money market protocols such as Aave and Spark you’re now free to use multiple collateral or debt assets.
Your Summerfi Pro positions were created on a proprietary Summerfi smart contract wallet, where each position was created on a separate wallet. These are now supported at DeFi Saver, but if or when wanted you’ll also have the option to migrate them to a Safe smart wallet instead. Safe is the default at DeFi Saver and is highly compatible with other apps in the DeFi ecosystem.
Summerfi automation options are also being shut down. If you want to continue using automation it’s good to know that it’s something we pioneered and we have many options available across all supported protocols. In order to turn on DFS Automation, you’ll need to migrate your position(s) to a Safe smart wallet, which is a process we’ll guide you through in the DFS app.
The way fees work at DeFi Saver is very similar to Summerfi Pro, most notably there’s a service fee on swaps that happen within complex transactions (e.g. Boost, Repay, collateral and debt swaps). You can check exact fees here in our knowledge base.
